The Sycamore Institute would like to offer a warm welcome to Seyi Amosun, our summer Administration & Communications Intern. We asked Seyi to share a little bit about herself below. If you or someone you know are interested in an internship with Sycamore, please visit SycamoreInstituteTN.org/jobs. Applications for Fall 2024 internships are due June 28. Now, let’s meet Seyi!

Name: Seyi Amosun

School: Ravenwood High School

Hometown: Brentwood, TN

Why did you want to intern at the Sycamore Institute?

I have always had an interest in government and understanding the intricacies of state legislation. I am also very passionate about ensuring information about relevant issues is highly accessible to the public, as education is integral to public policy. When I learned of this internship, I knew it would be the right place for me.

Where do you want to be in 15 years?

In fifteen years, I plan to have graduated law school and worked in corporate or international law for some time. I would love to be anywhere near Washington, D.C. or New York. I also hope to have traveled abroad to many more countries.

What are your interests and activities outside of school?

Outside of school, I am a cellist in the Tennessee Youth Symphony. I also am an avid baker, and my favorite treats to make are French macarons. I also love outdoor walks and exploring restaurants with friends.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I have a huge pen collection, including many types of fountain and calligraphy pens!
